Wheelchair logoThe DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) came into force on 1st October 2004. If you are a retailer, Local Authority or Service Provider, the introduction of signs that can be read by everyone is now a necessity. Informing clearly and effectively for the visually-impaired is the aim of Newman Displays range of bespoke and standard DDA signage. Braille, tactile lettering and graphics can be created simply and efficiently to conform to current legislation.

TACTILE / BRAILLE SIGNAGE

On October 1st 2004, Part III of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) came into force, requiring service providers to offer an equal service to the disabled and able-bodied; the sighted and partially sighted. It introduces a basic duty not to treat disabled people less favourably than others. The introduction of signs that can be read by everyone is fast becoming a necessity.

Informing clearly and effectively for the visually impaired is the aim of Newman Displays range of bespoke and standard signage. We create signs including braille, tactile lettering and graphics to conform to current legislation.
