Having produced one sign that lit up the 2006 Cannes Film Festival we were delighted to be given the opportunity to produce not one but three eye-catching displays for this year's event.
The project involved a great deal of coordination and indeed cooperation between ourselves and many suppliers on both sides of the channel. We had to oversee and co-ordinate the local contractors, produce the displays in London and ship them down to the French Riviera for installation by our skilled installations team in time for the launch event at the Festival.
From the initial brief to the de-rigging, contact was kept throughout with the creative agency due to the many complex issues that arose. The signs were a mixture of neon, metal work, three-dimensional modelling, graphics and TV monitors, which all came together on-site to create three stunning displays for the movies Stardust and Transformers
All three displays were the epicenter of the most publicised showbiz event of the year and created dynamic backdrops for the launch of the two movies.
